My approach to therapy considers two important things. First, you come to therapy for a reason that is important to you. My goal as your counselor is to meet you where you are and to help you get where you ultimately want to be. The why and the how will be unique to your needs.
Second, you seek out counseling to see results in your life, results that take into consideration the details of your situation. This will not be a cookie-cutter approach to counseling, but one that comes alongside you to help you reach your goals.
As we meet to work on your goals, I will offer you an opportunity to offer feedback throughout our time together. Offering feedback in a counseling relationship may be something new for you, but research has shown many benefits occur when you can share your experience of counseling in an open and accepting way.
Feedback from you helps me to see if we are on track, and to make adjustments if we are not. Rest assured that if the idea of sharing feedback does not appeal to you it will not prevent you from getting the results you hope for. This is counseling to fit your needs, not my own.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or difficult relationships I will provide you with the support you need coupled with a solid therapeutic approach. My practice specializes in the following areas:
- Christian Counseling
- Telemental Health
- College Students
- Life Stage Transitions
- Grief Counseling
- Individual Therapy
