“Anyone God uses significantly is always deeply wounded.”
Following a calling to serve God is an incredible, life-changing experience. As you prepared to serve in a ministry you may not have believed there would be days when God would seem distant or your path unclear. You were called to minister the brokenhearted and shepherd those who lost their way, but in all honesty some days you feel lost and even weary as you care for others.
Caring for others well requires a clear understanding of what you can and cannot carry on your own. In ministry there can be many good things that need your attention, but in giving so much of yourself you have been unable to make time to rest.
When was the last time you were able to be still long enough to ask yourself, “how am I doing right now?”. Those who work in ministry often focus sacrificially on the needs of others forgetting the importance of good self-care, over time this pattern can lead to burnout…a warning sign that should not be ignored.
If you feel stretched in different directions and miss the deep sense of purpose and connection with God that you once enjoyed, I can help. Together we will create balance through the use of self-care techniques that will equip you with what you need to carry on the good work that you are doing.
In addition to providing pastoral and ministerial support, Christian faith-based counseling can help in the following areas:

Integrating faith into counseling can enrich your overall experience as you lean on God’s truths. Regardless of where you are in your faith journey, I will meet you where you are and take you where you want to go.
