Meeting you where you are…taking you where you want to go.
There will be times in life when you feel alone…as if no one truly understands you or sees the real you. There will also be times when life is good and fulfilling, times when you wish you had bottled up that feeling so that you can open it up on the days when you feel lost. The seasons of life are filled with many ups and downs. Most days you adapt and land on your feet, but sometimes your feet slip from under you and you find yourself on the ground with no strength left to get back up.
On those days you may have thoughts that say you’re not good enough or that things will never change. Perhaps anxiety and fear have hijacked your peace of mind leaving you physically and mentally drained. Maybe there are days that the idea of getting out of bed and starting your day seems like an act in futility. If any of this is true for you, I want you to know that you are in the right place and that you are not alone!
I know what it feels like to get stuck at times. You feel like you have done everything you can think of to free yourself but fear and anxiety continue to prey on your weaknesses, leaving you trapped. You don’t know where to go for relief, at this very moment you are wondering if counseling can help. Perhaps you have a friend who suggested counseling or you grabbed your phone and googled the word that best described how you are feeling. Regardless of how you got here, it is not an accident that you are here reading this right now.
You may not be in a position to put your life on hold to seek counseling support, but that doesn’t mean that you have to continue to struggle alone. Heartwood Online Counseling exists to cater to the need for an alternative way to meet while still offering the same level of care and individual attention that an office setting provides.
Recent events in the world have made telehealth more readily available, however, not all counselors have been trained to provide online services in a manner that fully protects your privacy. I’m a clinical mental health counselor, and marriage and family therapist dually licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. I have board-certified training in best practices and can provide you with secure online counseling in the comfort and convenience of your private location.
